Re: How to add a Paypal BuyNow Button to DotNetNuke - Video #139

I've been longing for the paypal setup video. Thank you! However, I find there are some Payment Settings under both Admin and Host tabs as follows:

Payment Settings

Select a Payment processor for accepting payments from Client sites Payment Processor:
Enter your UserId for the Payment Processor Processor UserId:
Enter your Pasword for the Payment Processor Processor Password:
etc;

How can I make use of these? And what a sandbox is for?

Those settings under host/admin are used if you want to charge for people to host portals withing your dotnetnuke install. So it has a very specific goal. I
m not even sure how they work exactly as I have never tested them.

Sandbox is Paypal testing area, where you can set dummy buyers and seller to test your payment features. You can access paypal sandbox at developer.paypal.com/

One more thing. These payment settings can also be used to charge user for subscribing to paid membership to your DNN site.

Your instructions were great for a simple button, as you mentioned. Is there anyway to replicate this workaround for a button that has additional options. The button I have created requires the form component and the code is not available in for email format.

Hi Rana,

I think these other videos on paypal with multiple options might be just what you need:

I hope it helps.
