When I try to browse to a particular install of Dnn I get 500 (Internal Server Error).

Normally when I have problems with an install it's due to folder permissions. However when I launch the site instead of sitting for 2-3 minutes and then failing with the usual '/' in the application error or another error page it dies instantly and the only thing I'm told is that error in the network. The site DOES launch with Web Matrix but that doesn't do me any good with module development. Folder permissions have been setup properly and the database created. What could I be missing?

I checked out those videos and learned some new things that would have come in handy and I can use in future. However none of those techniques were able to help. It seems there is a problem with IIS and the site isn't being treated normally. This is why it doesn't even attempt to try to load at all and just gives a blank page with that 500 error. Any thoughts on what could be wrong on that end?

I thought I would post this update for anyone else that may run into this issue. After much digging it turns out that there was a asp .net feature that was not running. In the cmd run '-i c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\aspnet_regiis.exe' then do an iisreset. This solved my problems.
