Hello Aderson

sorry for my late reply, and thanks for looking at this.

I am really not sure what is happening.

Other DNN7 problems that might be related:

1/ In IE8 the home page shows the Facebook/Twitter module in the centre of the page - but it should float right.

2/ n IE8 the MyLicences page shows the Subscribe buttons all over the place - and yet each button is within a form in an HTML table:

Hi Richard,

1 - I could not experience the facebook/twitter problem you are reporting. All looked normal on IE8 to me;

2 - In regard to MyLicences page, the HTML code is a bit broken on that page which might be causing the layout issues. You have a few orphan LI tags right before the Table tag that has the paypal buttons. You can find those LI tags around the text "Immediate licence activation".

You should put those LI tags around a UL tag. I think this might be causing the layout issues.

Cheers,

Aderson

Hi Aderson,

I sorted the UL tags, thanks for that!

Same problem unfortunately.

I tried the HTML validator (http://validator.w3.org/) I don't think the erros are significant, but they seem to refer to DNN elements I don't think I have much control over.

Hi Richard,

The last things I can recommend:

1 - Don't use DIV tags in that content area. You are using it in a few places but there is not much of a reason for that;

2 - I would also remove the display: table-row; and display: table-cell; from the TR and TD tags. This may not have much do to, but I would try it.

3 - If those don't work, try switching the skin for that from to the default DNN skin. See how it looks. If it looks ok, then you know the problem is within the skin. If it still doesn't look ok, then you know the problem is the content itself.

Cheers,

Aderson

Hi Aderson

I have tried your suggestions. Thanks hugely, although no luck as yet.e.

I have discovered if I move all the Form tags from the table then the layout is fixed.

As soon as I add just the first form tag pair back in the IE8 layout breaks again - most strange, but at least I am a little closer to the problem..

I would like to give you a free EDT M5 (Excel Database Tasks) licence in thanks for your help, if you download EDT and install, I will switch your trial to M5 licence, with gratitude from lean software ltd.
