Hi Aderson

I connected with you on chat yesterday.  I tried to reindex to get my search page working and that didn't work.  I simply have a page and I added the search admin and search results modules to it.  I checked for any settings and I don't see any way to "turn it on".  Any ideas?  Do you have a video on how to add search to a dnn7 site? Something is definitely missing.  Thanks.

Hi Chris,

There shouldn't be anything special. I would be more than happy to have a look at the site for you. Please send me host level access information as well as the URL to the page where you have placed the search and I will check it for you. My email : aderson at dnnhero dot com

Cheers,

Aderson

Hi Chris,

I found this: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/forums/for... - I'm pasting it here in case that link no longer works at some point. I also didn't want to try on your site as it involves deleting things and I didn't want to do that on your site.

"I've fixed the problem in the database (table Modules) the first case, and confirmed it on a second install by the UI.

So please try :
Go to Host -> Extension, and clic the "yes" link in the column "In Use" for the Search Results Module.

Select your portal in the drop down list "Show pages for" and note on how many pages the module is used.
For each page, ask yourself if the page is needed and used.
Delete unneeded and/or unused pages.
For the staying page(s), go on the page and delete the Search Result Module

go to Admin -> Recycle Bin and clean it

Tools -> Clear Cache

you can now add the search result module to the search results page(s)."

"
