New DNN 7.1 Search - Filter explanation

Hi Aderson,

Watching the DNN 7.1 - Search video, you thought the Filter option under Advanced was not implemented yet.

Well, on my site, I have the Documents module installed and this option allows you to filter by Documents and/or Pages.

You also have nice separated sections for Documents and Pages when looking at the first results on the new search bar/popup.

In the full search results page, the Documents items appear with the author information in addition to the date and Source.

Finally everything is working quite well regarding to permissions (except a small bug about the total results already solved on the new DNN 7.1.1).

The whole thing brings quite a new feature. The only thing is I don't know if other modules are concerned by this search enhancements.

Hi Stephane,

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I would have never guessed. I think module sellers will start to be more aware of that and the best module providers will adapt their code to comply with the new search capabilities.

The one thing that didn't work well for me in regards to the Advanced search was the "Filter by tags" - I was expecting this to be tied back to the Tags under Taxonomy, but it didn't really work. Did you see that by any chance?
