Hi Aderson,

Thank you for your reply and I apologise for a belated response.

I'm still getting the DNN Error message.

I've checked the event log which contains two information messages relating to the database used by my DNN installation:

1) Starting up database 'DNN_070102'.
2) Recovery completed for database DNN_070102 (database ID 5) in 2 second(s) (analysis 206 ms, redo 70 ms, undo 1462 ms.) This is an informational message only. No user action is required.

But that doesn't tell me much I'm afraid, does anyone else know if this is related to my error problem?

The only other thing I can add is that the error occurs when the site hasn't been accessed for a while. Also that it's installed on my local machine. Oh and it's using DNN version 7.1.2 as the database name suggests.

Best Regards,

Steve

Hi Steve,

That will be quite a tricky one. I think the problem is that the AppPool is loosing connection to the database, but that doesn't say much.

A few things that I would try and/or look for:

1 - Make sure all sites have their own AppPool;

2 - Go to the advanced settings of the AppPool on IIS and under Recycling/"Generate Recycle Event Log Entry" set true to all events. I would hope that this will generate more actionable information on the event log of Windows.

This is what I can think this far.

Best regards,

Aderson
