Hello,

on my dnn site I have a host user and a regular user

with a regular user I want to be able to upload a file - add a pdf file or any other file type to a folder /Portals/0/pdfs

when I try to add a file,  nothing happens I believe it is because the user doesnt have permission to upload to this folder.

it works with the host user account.

basically the same thing i tried to do with this post, when i click on the  Hyperlink Manager -> Add hyperlink and add a file inside document manager - pdfs folder , i tried to add a file to this post and I couldnt cause I dont have permission

please point me to the right place where I need to go to give permission for the regular user?

Thank you so much!

Hi Stan,

You need to give that user (or role) permission to "write" to that folder. To do that, login as super user and go to Admin/File manager.

Click the folder and on the bottom of the file manager page, give "write to folder" permission to that role.

I just did that and it worked out quite well.

Cheers,

Aderson
