Today I attempted to login to my local site as host and recieved the error "dnndev.me:86/Default.aspx?tabid=59&error=Exception+has+been+thrown+by+the+target+of+an+invocation.&content=0". I've been researching the issue all day and cannot find anything that helps. I've tried checking my web.config for the version of .Net being used (currently it's 4.5). I tried upgrading the software to the latest (8.0.4.226). I cleared the cache and checked the EventLog table but there's literally nothing useful in there to look at except the exception. I've looked and there's literally nothing on the web to point me in the right direction. I had no issues yesterday. Simply turned my machine on and tried to login and this happenend. Didn't even have a chance to do anything today to mess it up. What can I do?

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

Try to clear your browser's local cache and cookies. Also try from a different browser.

Cheers,

I tried FireFox and Chrome. I cleared my cache for both. Still cannot access my site as any type of admin. "Default.aspx?tabid=41&error=Exception+has+been+thrown+by+the+target+of+an+invocation.&content=0".

This is on a fresh install I did yesterday. All I did was add a couple of dll's to my root sites bin folder now the site crashes...

EDIT:

I manually deleted the dll's I added and restarted the site and it came back up. I've never had this happen before when adding dll's... Weird.

Thank you for letting us know Michael. At least you know it is related to the DLLs you placed.
